This opportunity will include a short virtual orientation with Pride Northwest staff, prior to the event.
For this year's introduction to the Powerfully Pink outreach program we have created a family friendly ornament craft activity for community members to decorate in honor of their loved ones and/or with intentions of spreading LGBTQ2SIA+ resilience. We are looking for individuals able to create and nurture a space for the commemoration of community members with empathy and enthusiasm.
Volunteers should be prepared to:
-Aid community members in ornament creation
-Engage individuals in conversation about the meaning of Pride and their connection to it
-Oversee the addition of ornaments to the Powerfully Pink Tree
-Aid in the writing of letters to LGBTQ2SIA+ and incarcerated youths
-Provide space for heavy emotions and community connection
Art skills are encouraged but not required! We also encourage you to bring friends and loved ones to participate in the event!
